Saunas are firmly established as part of gay life in Thailand. Virtually all offer steam rooms, saunas and a darkened maze of cabins in which you can get intimate with a new-found friend.
We all know the reason why most gay patrons pay the entry fee but most saunas are well maintained venues offering a wide range facilities. They serve as a place friends can meet up for a drink and a chat, or maybe a bit of sunbathing in a relaxed, 100% gay environment.

Generally considered one of the best gay saunas in Asia. Offering Babylon some serious competition is Chakran Sauna. This multi-story stylish venue features a swimming pool, gym, a reasonable restaurant and bar. Free wifi. Chakran attracts a more local crowd although the number of expats and tourist customers is growing.
Open from 3pm to midnight Mondays to Thursdays and 2pm to midnight Fridays to Saturdays. Offers weekly and monthly memberships for tourists and expats.

Sticky Rice? This venue is popular with Asians who prefer Asians. Split over five levels Sauna Mania has all the usual facilities, a gym, and a roof top terrace. Open from 3pm to 2am weekdays and 3pm to 6am at weekends – making this sauna an interesting option for a bit of relaxing fun after DJ Station has closed.
